Kalkman Watch Alarm System

The Kalkman Watch Alarm System continuously monitors the alertness of the captain, significantly increasing bridge safety.
Using two motion sensors, the system detects activity and checks whether the watch officer is active.
If no movement is detected within the preset time interval, the system activates a sequence of alarm stages, allowing the crew to intervene in time and preventing potential accidents.

The system features four selectable time intervals, a dimmer for bridge lighting, a reset button, and can be connected to a PC or control panel.
Since 2019, the system can also be integrated into the Kalkman touchscreen panel, allowing multiple onboard systems to be managed via a single interface.
The latest version is prepared for integration with autonomous control and DP systems, enabling the Watch Alarm to form part of a fully automated safety chain.
