Smart-Steer Bow Thruster

The Smart-Steer Bow Thruster is a unique development that combines the advantages of a Channel Bow Thruster and a Steering Grid Bow Thruster in one integrated system.
Water is drawn in through channels at the top of the housing and pressurised by a horizontally mounted propeller.
It is then directed through a 360° rotatable steering grid, providing thrust in any direction.

This configuration delivers powerful and precise control, provided there is sufficient water depth to ensure a stable inflow.
It is therefore particularly suitable for DP (Dynamic Positioning) applications and other situations where precise manoeuvring and heading control are essential.

The Smart-Steer Bow Thruster is available in various configurations and power ranges, equipped with a sealed oil-bath system, low-maintenance design, and a customised PLC-based control system with full remote-service capability.
